Our View

Take up in the Essex office market has rebounded in the first nine months of 2021, with a total of 152,900 sq ft, already ahead of the full year figure in the previous 12 months. This strengthening in activity remains below the trend level for Essex but there are signs that occupiers are returning to the office.

Activity continues to be focused on lettings below 10,000 sq ft, with only one transaction in the year to date above this figure, the 22,170 sq ft letting to the Department of Works & Pensions at Church Walk House, Basildon.
