Take up continued at below trend levels in the Essex market, with 105,000 sq ft of lettings completing in the first nine months of the year and activity for the full year expected to rival last year’s total which finished at 185,000 sq ft.
There has been limited activity in larger deals, with only two transactions above 10,000 sq ft in the year to date. The largest transaction has been the 22,015 sq ft letting to insurance group Gallagher at Halford House in Chelmsford, whilst Create Business Hub took 10,265 sq ft at 40 Parkway Chelmsford.
