Take up in the North London & Herts market has remained at below trend levels in the first nine months of the year, with a total of 620,275 sq ft of space acquired. There has been a lack of Big Box activity, due primarily to shortage of stock in this sector of the market.
The largest transaction in the year to date is the pre let of Unit 1 at phase II of Midas Harlow, where beauty group Clarins have agreed to lease 89,000 sq ft. The Schroders/Canmoor scheme has now pc'd and provides a total of 176,000 sq ft, with Unit 2 having been speculatively built.
