Demand in Essex strengthened in the six months to the end of Q1 2024, moving to a new record high of 14.1m sq ft. Most sectors of the market have seen an improvement in demand aside from the Big Box sector, where requirements were down 13% to 6.8m sq ft. The reduction in Big Box demand may be due, in part, to the relatively good performance of the sector in Essex over the past few years.
