London & Scottish Investments, the Asset Manager for Regional REIT, advised by Glenny, has let Unit 1 on Juniper Park, Basildon, to national furnishings retailer ScS. The 65,000 sq. ft. unit comprises of warehouse and office space. After standing vacant for approximately four years, Glenny secured the lease to ScS, which relocated and upsized from a smaller warehouse in West Thurrock. Jim O’Connell, Divisional Partner in the Business Space Agency team at Glenny, said: “Following a prolonged period of vacancy, we devised a tactical leasing strategy to ensure a tenant could be secured for this unit; the new lease has secured a strong covenant between the landlord and the occupier on a long-term basis.” Glenny acted as joint agent alongside JLL.
