Glenny acquires 1.76 acre site for SEGRO in Stratford

Acting on behalf of SEGRO, Glenny’s Investment Division has acquired a 1.76 acre site off-market in Stratford, East London. To be known as SEGRO Park Stratford, the site will be transformed into a new 45,000 sq ft warehouse scheme on the Fish Island industrial estate.

Philip Colman, Divisional Director and Head of Investment and Development at Glenny, said: “We are proud to have sourced this site off-market for SEGRO, which continues to set the bar in our industry for sustainable and forward-thinking warehousing in urban locations. It’s an exciting deal to be part of and we’re pleased to have played an important role in helping to bring forward this new industrial/warehouse development to Stratford, an area that continues to thrive and attract investment.”

John Bell, Managing Partner and Head of Business Space Agency at Glenny, adds: “This is a perfect example of how successful collaboration between our teams plays out. On this occasion, it was the occupational knowledge from within our team that created an off-market development opportunity that met the needs of SEGRO’s ambitious growth plans. I’m proud of the team’s determination and perseverance in getting this deal over the line.”

Purchased from a private seller for an undisclosed fee, the urban site benefits from direct access to the A12 junction and sits within Zone 2, close to Hackney Wick.
