Party Wall & Neighbour Issues
Owning a property brings with it legal rights but also requires us to respect the rights of other certain third parties and this can give rise to a range of different neighbour issues. Our understanding of construction and property law means we can provide advice when neighbours don’t agree.
Any building works may be subject to the Party Wall etc Act 1996. We have detailed knowledge of the Act and its forerunner within Inner London, enabling us to help you protect your interests and also avoid delays and costs. In doing so we will:
- Consider the documentation required
- Serve or / response to Notices
- Prepare or agree Schedules of Condition
- Prepare and or agree Awards
- Publish the Award and monitor its implementation
In addition there are a range of other areas where we can be called on to intercede between neighbours including:
- Licences to secure access over neighbouring land
- Crane oversailing, in order to carry out building work
- Boundary disputes
