Planning Supervision (CDM)
Under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 1994 – CDM, Building Owners have legal responsibilities in regards to the Health & Safety of design, construction, maintenance and demolition of buildings they own or building works they commission. Our qualified and experienced staff are able to advise at any stage on the responsibilities and duties of those commissioning or undertaking building works and are able to quickly put in place the necessary documentation and notifications required to ensure Clients comply with the law and that their construction works proceed without delay.
The CDM legislation is enforced by the Health & Safety Executive and failure of duty holders to comply with the legislation can lead to site closure and even criminal prosecution.
- Execute requisite Notices to Health and Safety Executive
- Effect competency checks of designers, contractors etc
- Assess risk as required by the Act
- Prepare pre-contract Health and Safety Plans
- Co-ordinate the Health and Safety File at completion
As designers we pursue safe construction design methods in accordance with the CDM requirements.
