Demand for commercial space within the eastern M25 market is at its highest level since 2008, with Glenny LLP’s two recent sales at the Dagenham Business Centre highlighting that good quality freehold space remains a preferred choice for many occupiers.
Glenny LLP’s latest research for the Q1 2012 DataBook has revealed that demand for high quality commercial space has risen considerably over the past six months. Glenny LLP’s order book for clients seeking grade A premises has risen to over 5,000,000 sq ft, indicating not only an increase in the market generally, but signs of bank lending.
The Dagenham Business Centre is the first quality business accommodation built in the area for over eight years. Developed in partnership between GLE Property Developments and the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, it comprises 21 office and light industrial units available on a leasehold or freehold basis.
Steve Wright, Associate Director at GLE Property Developments “The units are being offered either for sale or let in response to the lending landscape. High quality space remains in demand, and although we were confident about the interest we would receive, we’ve been encouraged by the levels of interest in Freehold.”
Unit 1, comprising 1,464 sq ft light industrial space, in the new centre has been sold to Index Business Supplies Ltd. Whilst Unit 20, comprising 2,670 sq ft of office space over three storeys, was acquired by Manpower Direct Ltd. Glenny LLP acted for GLE Property Developments Ltd.
